Describing Kathleen Donato's  voice does not come easy.
But one quality she does have in abundance is "naturalness"

One could say she sings like a bird - a "song bird".
No contrivances, no preconceived sound or "jazz style" -
just plain good sound. The kind of sound that gets right into you.

She's so musical, lyrical and honest. Although she doesn't have a jazz background, she is much appreciated for the honesty in her approach, style and sound by the real jazz players.

There is something almost "therapeutic" in hearing her. Could it be the fact that she is also a registered nurse and is using her voice to make you feel good? One thing's for sure, once heard, everyone remarks "What a beautiful voice".
